"Symbol of God's love"/ Rama wishes Christmas with the rare painting
Prime Minister Edi Rama wished Christmas to all Christ...

"Hunger" and the tendency to travel on holidays has an impact on the tourism industry, encouraging the development of special offers and events for Albanians looking for an unforgettable experience for the end of the year. Hotels, restaurants and travel agencies are adapted to offer personalized packages and services that suit needs and expectations. This year there is a slight increase in prices, and travelers who organize everything themselves are on the rise…
The touristic alternatives in the service of Albanians are increasing more and more and this has encouraged for several years the finding of offers, according to the budget, for each traveler.
Immediately after the November holidays, tourist agencies in the capital say that interest in trips for the end of the year started. A good part of Albanians have booked earlier for the end of the year holidays and this has happened, mainly for more distant destinations, however the agencies report that there are always "last minute" travelers.
The election speaks of the same trends as in previous years: the region for skiing, again the region for the New Year's Eve, and even exotic destinations, where a small percentage allow themselves the luxury of 10 days of vacation, from December 29 to January 7.
Tourist agencies in Tirana mention another phenomenon of recent years. With the increased use of technology, the percentage of travelers is more difficult to estimate, considering that a good part of them book tickets and hotels themselves, no longer through a travel agency.
Even this year, in the preferences of Albanians, the region prevails: Mavrovo, Kolashin, Brezovica with a 3-4 day package, all included, adding the favorite sport of skiing, which they miss in their homeland.
This year, prices are favorable in Istanbul, another coveted destination, especially for gala evenings.
Almost on all holidays that Albanians want to move abroad, the first alternative that comes to mind is the region. The reason is the price, as tourist agencies argue, but also the proximity.
With such an advantage and with good arrangements for holidays, Montenegro, Croatia, North Macedonia have had numerous reservations from Albanians for the year-end holidays.
The key factor, according to the agencies, is proximity, especially for families, even with children, who can choose to travel by car to these destinations.
Good infrastructure and affordable prices have put Montenegro and North Macedonia, with their ski resorts, on the top list. Even Brezovica has been in demand, as well as the mountainous area of ??Prizren, Prevalle, etc. The Union Travel agency tells "Monitor" that the cheap price attracts Albanians not only for the end of the year holidays, but for all their days off.
They choose the region for the New Years dinner, mainly in Budva or Dubrovnik. Greece also has requests, the agencies claim, but this year they were weaker. However, outside the official figures of the agencies, there are reports of demand for Athens, after the establishment of the low-cost direct line.
From the Kalemi Travel and Tours agency, they claim that bus trips in the region, especially Thessaloniki and Istanbul, unlike years ago, are no longer preferred. Albanians want to travel by plane or car, according to the destinations that have their budgets.
While Matias Travel and Tours claims that Budva is much preferred for the end of the year, for which they ask: "What party is organized and with which singers?" and then, about the price and the hotel.
According to all the agencies contacted, prices in the region this year have undergone a slight increase and range from 139 euros for two days to 450 euros at most.

Exploring European holiday destinations has become a popular preference among Albanians, bringing a special freshness and magic to the way they celebrate the end of the year.
Popular cities like Paris, Vienna and Rome are often the first destinations that come to mind for many travelers. These metropolises offer architectural beauty as well as festive events in their main squares and boulevards.
Meanwhile, for those who prefer nature and a quieter lifestyle, the Swiss Alps are another favorite destination to spend the end of the year.
According to the communications with the agencies in the capital, Vienna, Kolmar, Prague, Amsterdam, Bucharest and Paris have received special attention, among the Christmas weekend bookings.
Prices for these destinations are reported at around 170 euros on average per person, 2 nights. While another favorite trip is the Milan-Como-St. Moritz train, with the Bernina train traveling from Italy to the Swiss Alps, at a cost of around 350 euros per person, for 3 nights.
An important aspect of this trend towards Europe is the diversity of elections. If some Albanians choose big European cities to celebrate with style and elegance, others prefer coastal cities like Barcelona, ??Nice, or Venice, where the mild climate offers a special festive experience.

At the top of the bookings is Dubai. Once, the agencies claim, it was one of the most expensive destinations, but for three years, prices have been slightly reduced, since the establishment of the direct flight line from Tirana. Packages for this destination vary around 550 euros per person, 5 days. The requests are mainly for dates like January 02-07, 2024.
Exploring unknown and magical regions, such as Lapland and the city of Rovaniemi, has caused Albanians to turn away from the usual destinations and choose a new adventure in places that were once seen as more legend than reality.
A sense of mystery and curiosity, supported by a special package that is circulating in many agencies, is driving Albanians to these destinations known for their special nature and rich history.
Lapland, with its white landscapes, has become attractive to those who wish to experience a different New Year's holiday. In this region of Finland's Lapland, the famous land of Santa Claus and Elves and where sleighs are pulled by Huskies, it is becoming a favorite destination for families and couples looking for an extraordinary festive experience.

Rovaniemi, Lapland's main city and home to Santa's official 'office', is a small town but bursting with natural wonders and a festive atmosphere.
A series of specific activities and events, including the city center transformed into "Santa's Villa," has made this destination a favorite.
This tendency of choosing destinations in unknown regions has a substantial impact on the way Albanians are seeing adventure and the end of the year celebration, but necessarily also on their 'wallet'.
According to the agencies, this trip has a cost that starts from 899 euros per person, for 4 nights./ Monitor.al
