On the eve of Christmas this year, the Bishop of Rrëshen, Dom Gjergj Meta, has chosen to wish with a message dedicated to women and girls who are often victims of violence and various abuses.

Dom Gjergj Meta mentions the case of Liridona Ademaj and the verbal and physical violence against girls and women.

He declares that women forgive gentleness and kindness in the world, so he wished them to be always happy and smiling.

"Recently, we have experienced events in which women have been innocent victims of violence, of war, of various abuses. the last one was Liridona, a young mother from Pristina who was killed in front of her children. Like Liridona, unfortunately, there are many other women who live in the grip of life, because of the violence that is exerted on them.

Unfortunately we are still a violent society, verbally and physically. These days I have been thinking about the name Liridona for me it is a life program, a human desire to be free. Ironically, a woman has been named with her, whose freedom was taken away because they took her life, without life there is no freedom.

Many women today are violated and denied their freedom, their life is violated and denied, or it becomes unlivable due to mistreatment, violence, abuse, yet they continue to give love to the world, work, pray and take care of every member of their family. They are often the silent energy and motivation of our society.

This Christmas wish is for you, dear girls and women. We thank you for all the gentleness and kindness you bring to the world and to our society.
