The Supreme Court brings to the attention of public opinion that there are currently 34,272 administrative, civil and criminal court files registered with it, while the backlog of cases, which are waiting to be reviewed according to the time limit defined in the procedural legislation, has significantly decreased to 30,751 file.

Referring to the figures provided by the electronic court case management system, until 31.07.2020 there are registered 10,069 administrative cases, 16,376 civil cases and 4,306 criminal cases.

The significant reduction of the backlog of cases has been influenced by the high number of 8,637 court decisions that were given from April 2020, when the operation of the Supreme Court resumed, until July 31, 2022.

The Supreme Court clarifies public opinion that for the publication of statistics or data on the review of files, it will keep in mind the information, in the sense of the backlog concept in the judiciary, on the exact number of files filed earlier, which according to the deadline time specified in the procedural legislation are pending for consideration./ CNA.al
