Begaj decorates US ambassador Walker with the Knight of the Order of the Flag

President Bajram Begaj honored Ambassador William G. Walker today on behalf of the Albanian state and all Albanians, with one of the highest medals of the Republic of Albania, that of the "Knight of the Order of the Flag".

Ambassador Walker is an international personality, diplomat and humanitarian, the first to expose worldwide as "a crime against humanity" the massacre of Recak, where forty-five innocent citizens were massacred by the military and paramilitary troops of the Milosevic regime, which brought the immediate reaction of the international community.

"In order not to forget the crimes of the past as well as against the background of unjustified Russian aggression in Ukraine, to maintain peace and leave a better world for our children, we appreciate personalities like Ambassador Walker, an example and defender of life , the freedom and prosperity of the citizens of Kosovo, the region and our nation", the announcement of the Presidency says./CNA.al
