The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, today visited the "Qazim Shehu" school in Kukës where he spoke about the security package, stressing that the safety of children is a priority as well as the fight against drugs.

Balla described this as a challenge that must be won in the entire territory of the country.

 " We have a lot of work to do. Under the direction of the Prefect, the Task Force will come to life that sets the security perimeter, with an increased presence of the Police to guarantee security. The problem of narcotics in schools is not only in the center of Tirana, it is a challenge that we will win in the entire territory of the country.

 I am here with the Prefect and local leaders, AKU, ISHP, the Municipality of Kukes, with whom we want a new approach to take place in terms of school security. Parents, grandparents, when they bring their children to school, they trust us, they are in our trust. Teachers, school leaders, the Security Officer, the Chief of the Police Station, or the Police Director, I too, must do the duty that the people charge us, to guarantee the safety of every child. The child, while coming to school, may fall prey to miscreants. The distribution of narcotics remains a phenomenon. Even here in Kukës, there are cases of people caught by the police for distributing drugs in schools, but there are also phenomena such as bullying", said Balla. / CNA
