Why Basha couldn’t create a new elite in 7 years

In recent days, the leader of a part of the opposition and the New Republic, Lulzim Basha, is trying to configure the names that will lead the DP circles, ie his elite list. In fact, this is quite difficult. Once he takes Edmond Spaho to Korça, then he returns him to Elbasan.

Once he takes Flamur Noka to Elbasan, and then he returns him to Tirana. Once Eno Bozdo goes in Korça, and then returns Bujar Leskaj to Vlora, takes Enkelejd Alibeaj to the north or Edi Paloka to Kukës and so on. Day after day, Luli Basha asks and asks for names, but it?s difficult to find a representative elite, even of that level as in 2005. So to sell as a new image, much as Lulzim Basha was sold. In seven years it is again this man, the one who came to the DP as a new feed, as a
new elite of hers and became such, who cannot created the party of values, through bringing important public figures.

Many of those he tried to join the Democratic Party rejected him. He has There not a few, but 7 years of time to create the new DP elite. An undisputed new elite, not conflicting, not divisive, not in the service of Edi Rama, but to have her mind and mouth, to have values and principles and not to be servile to the party chairman. But Basha did not succeed, because he did not want to defend his chair. Today he has an even bigger problem. There is no one to send as a leader in the regions, there is no one to run. Basha is left with only leaders in the second and third levels of Sali Berisha?s former government, as if this latter was foolish to take them and bring them forward.

In fact, Sali Berisha led with the party elite, and left behind the most incompetent. Lulzim Basha had the opportunity to test them in the opposition. He took some of them and appointed as secretaries and local leaders. The party was divided, because the individuals that Luli Basha had gathered, had their only purpose to maintain or seize a chair, and not principled intentions to raise the values of the DP, and turn it stronger than ever. Surprisingly when the ocean floor was to be touched in 2013, the ship continues to sink deeper without stopping yet.

He couldn?t gather some young people with values studied in Albania and specialized abroad, or those with contributions and principles that represent the right, and opened the doors of the DP, but whoever approached latter was removed.
He once announced a new COP (Policy Orientation Committee), which he filled as best he could. But he never called them to a meeting, he never consulted with them, he never made them active. He never sided with them to promote them as leaders, so that they could then get the vote of the electorate. Lulzim Basha did not do this in more than 7 years. And he can do it now, because he has nothing to do. An MP mandate he offers is nothing. On the other hand we can see an innovation in politics.

For several months, Jozefina Topalli has emerged as part of a movement announced a while ago. They are part of dozens of people who have studied in Tirana, but who have done masters and work for scientific institutes in Austria, Rome, Germany. They are doctors, scientists, people of an elite, and after many contributions and sacrifices in studies, they are today ready to enter politics.

They are the heirs of real right-wing families, people from the business world, with civic values, and were found in a short time. Some were once part of the DP, former leaders of the youth forum, or others who were never praised by Lulzim Basha.

Comparing with the “feeds” of Lulzim Basha, he understands that his goal was not to create an elite in the DP, the opening of the party, nor to show that the DP had changed, that there are new names, an elite of re, a product created in opposition, that raised hope and brought change.
If that had happened, it would have been much easier for Basha to hold the party together. These are the facts which show once again that Luli Basha didn?t intend to win the elections or come to power, but simply wanted to hold the chair of the opposition leader, to bargain or to govern tomorrow with the socialists./CNA.al
