Instagram problems all over the world/ The accounts of some of the users are suspended

Instagram users around the world have reported problems accessing their profiles.

The Meta-owned social network says it is "looking into" the issue, which has led to several people being told they have been suspended from the platform.

DoënDetector - which monitors site outages - says it has discovered thousands of users have been affected.

Some have been shown a message saying that their account has been closed for 30 days.

The company has not provided further details about what caused this unusual problem.

Some users who have been able to access the platform have reported seeing large drops in their follower numbers as suspended accounts affected by the issue disappear from the site.

Last week, fellow messaging platform Meta WhatsApp suffered an outage that left it offline for about two hours./ CNA.al
