OFFICIAL/ Ilir Daja's future is finally decided

Now it's official! Ilir Daja ends his adventure as coach of the Balkans. The official announcement came from the champions of Kosovo themselves, who announced that they wanted the technician to continue the adventure on the bench, but it was his decision to leave.

He took charge of the Balkans in January 2022. He has led the team to three Kosovo championship titles. With Daja at the helm, the Balkans have twice reached the group stage of the Conference League and have even aimed to go further, in the knockout stage.

Daja is appreciated for the rise of Kosovar football in general and the Balkans in particular. No other Kosovar team has reached the group stage of the European Cups.

With Daja, the Balkans have also won a Cup and a Super Cup of Kosovo.

Likewise, during the period that Daja was in charge, the Balkans managed to sell many players, while discovering many others. Albion Rrahmani, Ermal Krasniqi, Meriton Korenica, Lumbardh Dellova, Qëndrim Zyba, Albin Berisha are some of the players who have grown significantly under Daja's guidance and are now part of European clubs.

The 57-year-old has had a successful career in Albania, where he also recorded great successes, mainly at the Skënderbeu club, with whom he also qualified for the Europa League groups.

The Balkans were left without many starting players during the summer. He failed to appear successfully in the Champions League qualifiers and then in the Conference League qualifiers.

After leaving the Balkans, Daja is expected to return and lead in Superiore. Dinamo is said to have closed the deal with the technician from the capital and it is expected to be official during the week.
