Jurgen Klinsmann is very close to being fired as the coach of the South Korean national team. Now it's only a matter of time: the Football Association's advisory committee has decided to part ways with the German coach after carefully assessing what happened at the Asian Cup, where Kim and his teammates were eliminated in the semi-finals by Jordan. The Executive Committee will then make a final decision.

"We agree with the fact that Klinsmann can no longer exercise his position as coach of the national team for various reasons. The change in the bench is necessary," committee member Hwangbo Kwan told a news agency.

South Korea were defeated by Jordan 2-0 in the semi-finals of the Asian Cup. Klinsmann took charge of the South Korean national team at the beginning of last year. The former Germany striker has coached the US and German national teams, as well as Bayern Munich.
