OFFICIAL/ The renowned national team secures qualification for the World Cup

Egypt have officially secured their place in the 2026 World Cup after a 3-0 win over Djibouti. In a match without much history, Adel scored the first goal, while Mohamed Salah scored twice to seal the final result.

With this success, Egypt leads Group A and becomes the third African team to qualify, after Morocco and Tunisia. This is the fourth World Cup in history for the "Pharaohs".

Salah will be participating in such a tournament for the second time, confirming his influence on this achievement.

After this qualification, the number of teams confirmed for the 2026 World Cup rises to 19. In addition to Canada, Mexico and the United States as host countries, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt have also joined the list.
