OFFICIAL/ Germany decides on coach Nagelsmann's future

Julian Nagelsmann has renewed his contract with the German national team. The parties have signed an extension of the cooperation until 2028.

The 37-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of the 2026 World Cup, but the club have rewarded him with a two-year extension. Nagelsmann appeared enthusiastic about the new deal.

When I joined the national team in September 2023, I could not have imagined that I would be on the bench beyond the European Championship. Our big goal was to win the tournament. But I could not have imagined what the national team means to the people of Germany! How much it is in their hearts and how much it affects them! The fantastic feedback we receive shows us that we are on the right track together. And it is not over yet! We want to win titles together,” said Julian Nagelsmann.
