Moving to Al Klaleej is the best decision that Sokol Cikalleshi has made in his life. The transfer to Saudi Arabia was a sign from God for the Albanian striker.

In an interview via "Skype" with the "Ora Sport" show, Cikalleshi revealed a behind-the-scenes story that he had not revealed before. The player of the red and black national team has confessed that he was close to moving to Hatayspor, but the desire to try a new challenge outside of Turkey made him choose Al Khaleej. The right choice by Kavajasi, as Hatayspor is exactly the team of the city where the great tragedy happened in Turkey, as it was affected by the devastating earthquake a few weeks ago.

"You asked me a very delicate question, because I have suffered these days. Before coming to Khaleej I had two offers. I had Khaleej and Hatayspor. I was very close to transferring to Hatay and you know very well what happened there. It has been one of the best decisions of my life that I have made to date.

For the very fact that I am married with two children, it would be unthinkable. Why didn't I choose Hatay? The main reason was this, since I had 7 years in Turkey, I needed a new challenge. I did not manage to make the step in Turkey, to move to the three best clubs, Gallatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. I admit, I couldn't do it. So I was looking for a new challenge", revealed Sokol Cikalleshi.
