Sisterhood of women does it again! The Shkodra girls go to the Champions League

The women's football team of Vllaznia has managed to qualify again for the play-off stage of the Champions League. The red and blue team succeeded by winning the final of the mini-tournament that was played today in Montenegro, against the Slovaks from Mijava.

Vllaznia had been lucky in the draw, avoiding the semi-finals of its elimination group to go straight to the final. Meanwhile, Mijava had defeated the locals of Breznica with the numbers 3-2. But in today's challenge, the Shkodra girls completely dominated the challenge and dictated the pace from the start.


Despite attacking the opposition goal relentlessly, they scored only once, through Shala at the end of the first half, while the opposition team did not register any attempts on goal during the 90 minutes of this challenge which ended with a 1-0 success.


Now Vllaznia waits for the play-off draw on September 1, to understand who will have an opponent in the next round of the tournament between very popular teams. If she makes it through the round-robin play-offs, she would register her name in the group stage of the Women's Champions League for the first time.
