Myrto Uzun's career has not been easy at all. A striker who has defied the odds and built an extraordinary career, becoming one of the most prominent Albanian footballers of recent years. He has conquered Hungary, Spain with goals and has now started a new challenge in America, but for him, the most special goal remains the one scored with the Laçi jersey, a moment that changed the course of his life.

On July 19, 2018, the team from Kurbina faced Cypriot side Anorthosis in the Europa League qualifiers. Laçi won 1-0 and the only goal was scored by Uzuni in the 88th minute.

There were observers from Lokomotiva Zagreb at the stadium, who had come to follow the Albanian talent.

This was the moment that changed Uzun's life. A goal that not only won a match, but also a ticket to a stronger championship.

"We went to the "Play off", we couldn't reach the groups, but for the first time we participated in the European Cups with Laçi. There were observers from Lokomotiva Zagreb in the stadium to follow me. I was in a small club, but it was successful. I played as a left winger. That match had 90 percent possession of the ball from them, and only 10 percent from our side. We hardly touched the ball at all. The observers from Zagreb told me after the match that if they were going to single out one player, it would be me. In the last minutes, a cross came and I scored with my head. We won 1-0. That was the moment of my life. That moment changed everything," said Uzuni.

A few weeks later, he signed for Lokomotiva Zagreb, beginning his journey into European football.

In Croatia, Uzun did not take long to show his skills. He quickly became one of the most important players for Lokomotiva Zagreb, becoming an undisputed starter and scoring important goals. His ability to play as a winger or as a center forward, his speed and his sense of goal made him one of the team's most outstanding players.

His excellent performances did not go unnoticed and many clubs began to show interest in him.
