UEFA starts investigations, Tirana risks punishment

These are the punishments that Tirana is at risk of, after violent clashes between fans in the match against Beshiktash held at "Air Albania" for the second eliminatory round of the League Conference. UEFA has launched an investigation into the events that forced the referee to start the challenge 18 minutes late.

The European football government has received the official statements of the referee and the delegate of the challenge, while it is expected that there will be punishments for both teams. Fines are inevitable, but penalties can go as far as closing stadiums to fans.

It all started before the start of the match.

When the start of the challenge was expected, the ultras of Besiktas lit flares and threw them on the field.

The reaction of the blue and white fans was strong, while there were also physical fights.

The teams returned to the dressing rooms, while the match started 18 minutes late, only after UEFA threatened to suspend the challenge and law enforcement entered the stands.

Even after the end of the meeting, the fans clashed again in the streets of the capital, while for these events the police announced the arrest of 14 fans, 11 of whom were supporters of Besiktas.
