Triumph with a twist, the women's national team wins again

The Albanian women's national team has achieved another great victory, defeating Croatia for the second time in a row, this time on the road. Albania triumphed with a 2-1 upset at the "Sport Centre Rudes", in the challenge valid for Group B4 of the UEFA Nations League.

Fortesa Berisha equalized the score in the 32nd minute, while the winning goal came in the 71st minute as a result of an own goal by Balog, after an excellent action by Berisha.

Coach Armir Grima started the match with this starting lineup: Antigona Hyska (GK), Klea Hamonikaj, Alma Hila, Arbiona Bajraktari, Armela Tukaj, Ilarja Zarka, Ezmiralda Franja, Fortesa Berisha, Megi Doçi (C), Valentina Troka, Qendresa Krasniqi.

Croatia took the lead first through Ivana Slip?evi? in the 11th minute. However, Albania responded well and found the equalizer in the 32nd minute with a beautiful goal from Fortesa Berisha. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.

The second half started with Albania being more demanding. The girls appeared dangerous on several occasions in attack with Fortesa Berisha and Valentina Troka.

In the 71st minute, after an action from the wing, Berisha passed into the area and Balog, in an attempt to clear the ball, deflected it into her own goal, giving Albania the advantage and the victory.

This is another historic success for the Albanian Women's National Team, which with this victory ranks third in Group B4 of the UEFA Nations League, with 6 points.

Albania's last two matches in this group will be against Ukraine away and against the Czech Republic at home.
