"The Sun" echoes Silvinho: He gives a spectacle with the ball even as a coach

The coach of Albania, Silvinjo, debuted last night in the Red and Black team, in that 1-0 defeat against Poland. Echoes of the Brazilian technician have gone as far as The Sun, with the British media devoting an article to him.

"The Brazilian started his football career in Korinthinas and in 1999 he moved to Arsenal playing 80 games in two seasons. Then he went to Spain in the Celta Vigo team. And in 2004 he moved to Barcelona where he helped the Catalans win La Liga three times and the Champions League twice in just five seasons. His career as a footballer ended in 2010 after one season at Manchester City. And this person is none other than Silvinho. He is now in charge of Albania's national team after managerial spells at Lyon and Corinthians.

His assistant is former Manchester City and Argentina star Pablo Zabaleta. The pair made their debuts as Albania managers in last night's 1-0 defeat to Poland in a Euro 2024 qualifier.

Silvinho made a great technical move. He beautifully controlled a ball that fell from the sky with a quick touch of his foot. And he did it while wearing a suit while standing on the touchline," The Sun wrote.
