The players of the famous national team clash with the Spanish police, the

Peru's national team traveled to Spain to play a match at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium against Morocco. However, Madrid has turned into a nightmare for the Peruvian footballers who clashed outside the hotel where they were staying with the Spanish police forces. While the players were greeting their fans, the Spanish authorities intervened and from that moment the confrontation started with the American-Latin football players who opposed the law enforcement.

As a result, the 33-year-old goalkeeper of the Peruvian national team, Pedro Gallese, was arrested. The latter ended up at the police station, where after a few minutes the situation was clarified. Gallese was released as media claims Spanish police did not recognize Peru's players and mistook them for fans.

The Welsh goalkeeper said afterwards that his teammates only wanted to greet the fans present, but the police intervened by beating them. Thus, the Peruvian Football Federation also reacted, emphasizing its support for the Welsh goalkeeper, while clarifying that they are ready to cooperate with the authorities for a full investigation of the incident. On the other hand, the Federation invites fans to remain calm.
