Trouble for UEFA, Kosovo joins another national team in CAS for Romania

UEFA's decision to give Romania a 3-0 victory over Kosovo has brought concerns to other national teams as well. Sweden is affected by this decision and is preparing an appeal to the CAS.

The Swedes were declared the best of League C in the Nations League after a 6-0 win over Azerbaijan with 16 points, but with the 3 points received by UEFA, Romania went on to 18 points, overtaking Sweden.

Due to this situation, in addition to Kosovo, Sweden will also appeal UEFA's decision to CAS. These steps are being taken after the best of League C participates in the "play-off" phase, to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

"After the victory, we were waiting for UEFA's announcement about the result of the Romania-Kosovo match. The decision taken affects us badly. We are looking at the possibility of taking this matter further. It has been said that the behavior outside the field had an impact and affected both teams along with us", it is written in the statement of the manager, Kim Kalstrom.
