Shqiptarja Xhengo kampione Europe, shkruan emrin në histori me 2 rekorde

Elina Xhengo, atletja me origjinë nga Korça, është shpallur kampione e Europës në hedhje shtize gjatë kampionatit që po zhvillohet në Mynih.

Xhengo regjistroi rezultatin 65.81 metra në gjuajtjen e dytë dhe asnjëra prej rivaleve nuk iu afrua asaj, pasi e gjuajtën shtizën 3 metra larg në krahasim me të.

Xhengo i dha Greqisë medaljen e katërt në artë në Europian, duke u bërë edhe kampiona më e re (19 vjeçe e 350 ditë) europiane e shtizës (rekordi i fundit ishte vendosur nga Giorgios Botskariov në vitin 1962 në Beograd).

Xhengo tani është medalistja më e re greke në një event madhor, pasi theu rekordin e Milto Tedoglou (20 vjeç e 136 ditë). Ai kishte fituar medaljen e artë në vitin 2018 në Berlin.
