IFAB (the body that deals with changes in the rules of football) has changed the rules of the game, which will come into force from 1 July 2023.
One of these changes concerns penalties. According to them, the goalkeeper will not be able to move to try to distract the footballer who will shoot from 11 meters.
One of the goalkeepers who reacted is that of Milan and France, Mike Menja. Through a post on Twitter, he ironically says that:
"New IFAB penalty rules in 2026: Goalkeepers will have to stand with their backs when taking shots. In case of a reception, it will be called an indirect free kick", writes Menja.
