Skenderbeu is the champion team of the 2022-2023 edition in the First Category. Ivan Gvozdenovici holds a great deal of credit for this success. The Serbian coach took over the red and white team at the time when they were at the bottom of the table and managed to secure their participation in the "Abyssnet Superiore" next season. In a short interview with "Ora TV", Gvozdenovic talked about his adventure at the head of Skenderbeu and his adaptation to Albania.

"Not only for me, it was very difficult for everyone. We were in 7th place, 8 points away from Flamurtari and Dianmo. But when the work was done, we were all very well. I was a bit lucky because we had a very good group. We had a very good Albanian group, with some players from abroad. I have experience, I played for 4 years here, then I came as a deputy coach. I am from Serbia, from the Balkans and we have the same mentality.

For me this was an advantage, it was a plus for me. I came here as a player, it doesn't matter if I come from Serbia, from Africa, from Bulgaria or from Brazil. I like Albania. I haven't had any problems here, both as a player and now as a coach", said Ivan Gvozdenovici.
