Bartozh Salamon is getting ready for a long suspension from the field of play. The defender of Lec Poznan and the Polish national team has also lost his appeal to UEFA regarding his suspension for doping.

The player had been caught with a banned substance in his system for two weeks by a UEFA check and the B evidence he used to appeal has in fact proved its presence, making a long-term ban now inevitable.

Salamon was one of the most valued players on the pitch for Poland in their Euro 2024 qualifier against Albania. The footballer received praise for the way he almost always blocked Uzun or Cikalles, although it was a last-minute approach in the representative team led by Fernando Santos.

Now he is expected to be absent for at least 1 year, which is the possible minimum set by UEFA for such cases, not playing in these qualifiers.
