Real Madrid won 2-3 with an upset over Villarreal and secured qualification to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey. Aurelien Tchouameni was absent due to a muscle injury, but his action angered the "Los Blancos" fans.

The French midfielder flew to Paris to attend the NBA game between the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls, at the same time as his Real Madrid were playing. The 22-year-old apologized for his actions through a post on social networks, where he wrote:

" I apologize to the club, the technical staff, my teammates and the fans of Real Madrid that I was present at another event while we were fighting for the qualification to the Cup. Of course I followed the game against Villareal, but obviously my action was wrong. I am very sorry ", said Tchouameni.
