Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has announced his retirement from football and that this Saturday will be his last game.

He has announced his retirement from football and that his last match will be against Almería at Camp Nou.

The defender posted  an emotional 2-minute clip on Twitter in which he reviewed his entire football career since arriving at La Masía.

“You pirates have given me everything, and now that that child's dreams have come true, I want to tell you it's time to close this circle. I have always said that after Barça there would be no other team and that is how it will be. This Saturday will be my last match at Camp Nou."

Therefore, the match against Almería this Saturday at 21:00 in Barcelona takes on a very important meaning, as it will be Pike's last with the Barca shirt, at least at Camp Nou. It remains to be seen whether next Tuesday's game against Osasuna will be his final one, and with which he will hang up his boots just before the World Cup break.
