The cleaner who worked at the Inter Miami stadium was fired, the reason being Messi

A worker working at Inter Miami's stadium was fired after taking an autograph from Leo Messi.

Colombian Cristian Salamanca, who has been living in Miami for a year and a half, worked in the last match at the Inter Miami stadium as a cleaner.

He saw Messi and asked him for an autograph, for which he was dismissed.

"I had to clean the toilets in the sector where the buses park. Luckily, I was outside when the bus stopped and all the players got off. The last one was Messi. It was enough to shout: "Hey, world champion" and he turned to look.

I unbuttoned my work shirt and underneath I had an Argentinian T-shirt. He left me an autograph.

Then security came, they took me out and fired me, but it was worth every second," Christian said.

Meanwhile, stadium workers (whether they work for the club or a third-party company) are warned not to take pictures with the stars or get autographs while on the job.
