Formula 1 will come with a change, starting in 2026.

The 11th team will be added to the track, so a total of 22 pilots will compete.

Starting from 2026, the American team of the "General Motors and Cadillac" brand will join Formula 1.

The president of the International Automobile Federation, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, emphasized that this change will expand Formula 1 in America.

"In our plan to expand Formula 1 in America, we have always believed that bringing an important group like GM/Cadillac to the track can guarantee further value and interest in the sport," he said.

As the president of the American brand, Mark Reuss, said that it is an honor for them to participate in Formula 1.

"For General Motors and Cadillac it is an honor to participate in Formula 1 and we will try to compete with passion and integrity. Formula 1 is a global stage that will allow us to demonstrate our engineering strength and GM's technological leadership on a whole new level," Reuss said.
