After defeating Argentina in the World Cup, Herve Renard takes over the leadership of the French national team

Herve Renard said goodbye to the representative of Saudi Arabia two days ago and today, it was announced that the French technician, who gave the biggest surprise of the 2022 World Cup, will return to lead in France, more precisely one of the representatives of this country.

Saudi Arabia under Renard pulled off what is arguably one of the biggest surprises in history, a 2-1 upset win over Argentina in their opening World Cup group game, being the only side to beat Messi & Co in the journey to winning the trophy.

After he decided to leave Saudi Arabia, Renard was contacted by the French Federation, who immediately included him in their organizational chart, initially entrusting him with the leadership of the women's national team until August 2024. Thus, he will lead the team in the 2023 World Cup and then in the 2024 Olympic Games, which take place in Paris.

Renard has long been touted as a potential successor to Didier Deschamps on the France men's bench.
