Farewell as a legend of the Albanian football player, Dinamo Zagreb takes the unique decision in the history of the club

Arijan Ademi has said goodbye to the Dinamo Zagreb team after 13 years, as he will continue his career in the Chinese football championship. The midfielder, who has captained the Croatian club for many years, has signed with Beijing Gouan and will continue his career there.

After the tribute from the fans of Dinamo Zagreb in the stadium, came the special tribute from the club, which has broken the tradition and for the first time in history will retire the number of a jersey in honor of the midfielder who represents North Macedonia in the arena international.

"Arijan Ademi, the symbol, model, captain and leader, left GNK Dinamo after almost 13 years with the blue jersey. In the past days, hundreds of communiques and messages from fans have been written on the occasion of the captain's farewell, and the club itself has emotionally thanked Adam for everything he has given for the blue jersey.

Our captain deserved it, first of all, with his performances, goals, assists, trophies and most importantly – with his behavior. The years he spent at the club will always be an inexhaustible inspiration for all Dinamo players. It is impossible to fully express the respect and gratitude we feel for our captain.

We are aware that in football it is very ungrateful to retire a number. Looking at the history of Dinamo and which legends played for our club and left a big mark, GNK Dinamo decided not to retire a single number out of respect for all the greats who played for our club.

However, at the same time, the club has decided that the number five will be withdrawn from use in the blue team until Arijan Ademi decides not to play actively in football anymore, that is, until the end of his career. Until that moment, Dinamo's number 5 will be exclusively reserved for him", explained Dinamo Zagreb in the communiqué for the fans, explaining the unique decision in the history of this club.
