It was revealed a few days ago that the AFL has "exited" the international referee, Enea Jorgji, who has not been assigned to any match since April 3. For the last time he was on the field in the match DinamoKorabi 1-0, valid for the First Category.

For the 38-year-old from Elbasan, who has been wearing the FIFA emblem for a long time and is considered one of the best referees in Albania, there is still no official statement from the Referees Association about what happened to him.

However, as if the mystery with Jorgji was not enough, who received this "gift" from the AFL, after refereeing two international matches (Austria-Estonia for the World Cup qualifiers and Fiorentina-Sivasor for the 1.16 stage of the Conference League), a another referee turns out to have "disappeared".

The newspaper learns that the next one to suffer is Kreshnik Barjamaj, who was last referee in the match of the 27th week of the Superior Category, Kastrioti Laçi 2-1, played at the Kamza stadium on April 2.

That meeting produced a lot of controversy after a goal canceled by VAR by Barjamaj, which, like never before, forced the AFL to issue a statement, saying among other things that "in Kastrioti-Laçi the referees of the match have been threatened with their lives and are forced to cancel a goal for the Kurbin team.

Feeling constantly threatened, the officials were afraid to declare in writing or denounce such events".

But what happens today with Barjamaj and why he and Jorgji no longer judge, while their colleagues, who had almost the same situations in the last month, are active every week in the Superior or the First Category?

A situation full of mystery, even though the case of "Jorgji" is basically separated from that of Barjamaj... The latter, ironically, was evaluated in January as one of the three Albanian referees who will wear the FIFA emblem for the VAR system.
