Milan receives bad news about Leao's injury

Rafa Leao will miss the Serie A opener against Cremonese on August 23rd, due to a calf injury sustained in the Coppa Italia against Bari.

The medical examination has confirmed an elongating trauma to the right calf and the player will be assessed day by day to see if he will be ready for the next transfer against Lecce on August 29.

Meanwhile, Leao's injury has not affected Milan's transfer market. The club is close to closing a deal to sell Noah Okafor to Leeds for around €21m, including bonuses.

After rejecting an initial offer of 17 million, the parties have reached an economic agreement and are now working on the bureaucratic details and payment methods. Okafor has reached a personal agreement with Leeds until 2030.
