The war between Russia and Ukraine directly affected the world of football. In the meantime, the ones that suffered were the Russian clubs, but also the national team, which were excluded by UEFA and FIFA, not allowing them to participate in their competitions. UEFA and FIFA judged Russia's attack on Ukraine wrong and thus intervened.

But another party that can suffer from UEFA and FIFA is Belarus. The latter have sent military troops to the aid of Russia as throughout the war they have expressed their support for the Russians. However, this behavior has "introduced" the thoughts of UEFA and FIFA, which is considering excluding the Belarusian national team and their teams from various competitions.

If such an idea turns into a reality, then Belarus, which was part of the draw for the Euro 2024 qualifiers, is also affected, even being drawn in Group I together with Kosovo, Switzerland, Israel, Romania and Andorra.
