He emphasized that the main goal remains winning trophies, while he chose to trust in the new coach, Cristian Chivu, as the right leader for the new project.

Marotta recalled the successes of the last five years with seven titles and two Champions League finals, also praising the contribution of the new ownership. The president acknowledged that Inter will start a new cycle with important reinforcements and a clear strategy in the transfer market.

Regarding Lookman from Atalanta, Marotta said that the player is a priority in the transfer market, but if an agreement is not reached within 2-3 days, the club will look towards other alternatives. The objective is to remain competitive in all competitions and maintain the club's winning tradition.

"The transfer market could last another month or more, but you forget something. The fact that a team manages to keep the players who brought it up is very important.

The transfer market is interesting, fans open the newspapers every day to read the news, work hard and the more you write, the better. But in reality, we also have to understand that if a team like ours has reached where it is, it also means that it has important assets. This means that Inter today boasts a large majority of champions, interesting young players and that retaining experienced players plays an important role.

I won't deny that Lookman is a big target. However, today he is an Atalanta player. We have a great relationship with the Percassi family and I won't deny that I exchanged a few words with Luca Percassi. We have to raise the bar and not be afraid to look for good players. It's too early to say what will happen, but it's true that he is a player we are following.
