Kvaratskhelia ends with Napoli, an Albanian is targeted as a replacement

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has decided to leave Napoli. The news has been confirmed by the coach, Antonio Conte, who described the situation as a personal and professional disappointment. Conte admitted that, despite his continued efforts to keep the player at the heart of the project, Kvarashkelia has remained steadfast in his decision.

The Italian coach revealed that the player's desire to leave is not a sudden development, as he has been asking for it since the summer, but Napoli refused to sell him in the hope that he would be able to convince him to stay.

"Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave. I spoke to the guy who confirmed this decision, and I'm very disappointed. I couldn't convince him about our project, even though the last six months have been a constant effort on my part to show him that he was an essential part of the team.

In the summer, when I spoke to the president, I asked for certain players to be untouchable. Kvarashkelia was one of them. But that goal was not realized as I had hoped. Today I feel great disappointment, because I spent a lot of time building our project around him."

According to recent reports, the interest of Paris Saint Germain has been the catalyst for this situation. The French club has reached a verbal agreement with Kvara, offering him a salary of 8 million euros per season for the next five years. This proposal seems to be too difficult for the player to refuse, who has expressed his desire to start a new adventure.

However, Napoli have made it clear that they will not allow an easy exit. The club are demanding a fee of €90m for the 23-year-old and do not want to include other players in the deal.

While the talks on the transfer of the Georgian continue, Napoli has already started the search for his replacement. At the top of their list is the Kosovo striker, Edon Zhegrova, who excelled with Lila in France. Napoli is willing to offer 50 million euros for the 25-year-old's card, while Lila is reluctant to lose one of its most important players.
