Veteran Topçiu, one of the emblematic figures of Korcar sport, passed away today unexpectedly.

He was part of an activity organized by the Municipality of Korça at the "Thimi Mitko" library, but he developed health problems and unfortunately, even though the intervention was immediate, he could not stand up again.

Thus, he passed away at the age of 80, leaving the fans and all sports lovers in grief.

He was not only a model football player, but a well-known citizen and respected figure of Korça.

Veteran Topçiu was part of the team of Skenderbeu of Korça for 12 consecutive years, from 1960 to 1972.

He has always been noted as one of the best players of this team, and in particular as its central defender.

He was born in Panarit, in 1943, but grew up and was educated in Korça. He started the sports activity early on, with the pioneer team, then spent with the youth, and finally with the adults.
