America's Cup/ Uruguay qualifies with 5 goals, Panama surprises

Uruguay did the job in the Group C match, defeating Bolivia with a comprehensive score of 5-0. A match without much history, which was decided in the first half.

Pellistri unlocked the challenge in the 8th minute, after an assist from Araujo, while in the 21st minute, Nunjez doubled the numbers.

With the win secured, the second half was all about statistics, with the Uruguayans not stopping their attacks anyway.

Araujo scored the third in the 77th minute, before Valverde scored the fourth goal in the 81st minute.

In the end, there was room for a goal by Bentakur, which completed the victory with a bang. This success assures Uruguay, passage of the group and participation in the quarter-finals of the America's Cup, as it holds the first place with 6 points.

In the other Group C match, Panama pulled off the biggest surprise of the tournament so far, defeating hosts USA 2-1.

The match got off to a fiery start, with the Americans seeing their first goal disallowed in the 5th minute for offside.

In the 18th minute, Weah left the organizers with 10 players, after being punished with a red card. Although in numerical inferiority, the Americans found the advantage with Balogu in the 22nd minute.

However, this advantage was short-lived as Blackman equalized for Panama in the 26th minute.

Fajardo scored the winning goal for Panama in the 83rd minute, with the result not changing until the end.

With this loss, the USA remains in second place with 3 points, as well as Panama in third place.
