After the dismissals of Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric, Claudio Raineri will lead the Roma team until the end of this season.

Speaking to the media during the presentation of the "red and yellows", the 73-year-old emphasized that he had not managed a team for a long time and that only a return to Roma or Cagliari could make him resume his work as a coach.

"I had stopped training but it's unbelievable and I've had more requests in these months than when I won the Premier League with Leicester. I told someone that I would only go back to training on two occasions, that is if Roma called me or Cagliari, fate wanted me to return home, I started in Rome as a player and I will end up at the "yellow and red" as a coach," he said at the beginning.

Asked about a return of Francesco Totti to Roma, the technician added that it is not excluded as a possibility.

"I don't exclude anything. The aim now is to bring the team back to the top. In the future we will talk to Totti, if he can give us a hand, it will certainly be an option to evaluate, but the priority is different", he declared.

Claudio Ranieri will be in charge of Roma until June 30, 2025, as the aim is to improve the team's results, with the Reds currently 12th in Serie A with 13 points from 12 weeks championship. /CNA
