The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has put an end to all dilemmas, officializing Luciano Spalletti as the new coach of the national team on Friday evening, just a few days after the sudden departure of Roberto Mancini from its management.

Through a press release, the body that governs Italian football has announced that it has found an agreement with the former coach of Napoli, as he is expected to start work on September 1, when the presentation will be made during the gathering of the Italian representative for the two matches the next in the "Euro 2024" Eliminators, when Italy plays against North Macedonia and Ukraine.

Spalletti will be at the head of the Italian bench until the 2026 World Cup.
