The former Arsenal player reveals the secret of footballers: They would rather pay a prostitute than a relationship

Former Arsenal player and Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner has revealed for the first time a secret related to Premier League players. In his biography, the 34-year-old Dane told a story that "connects" football with the world of prostitution.

Bendtner said: "Believe me everyone in the football industry has heard of someone who spent the night with a sex worker, this is generally in England. Players find it easier to do this than hook up with a stranger in town.

When you are famous you are afraid of exposure and stories with prostitutes is an easier incident than extortion through social media, I know many cases of this. So players would rather pay for one night than see themselves in all the press for a hookup.”
