The incident with Valverde, the defender's family is threatened with death

Alex Baena makes another complaint, this time not against Federico Valverde but against his supporters for the death threats he claims have been sent to the family. The defender of the U-21 National Team of Spain, in a long post, denies having verbally provoked the Uruguayan in the January match where he is thought to have addressed harsh words about the child born prematurely, while adding:

"The damage that is being done to my family is inexcusable. Threats and insults and even death threats", writes the 21-year-old in a long post where he says: "I have referred everything to the police and now I want to focus entirely on my work on the field of play to achieve the objectives".

Valverde will not be punished for the incident in the Madrid stadium car park where he punched Baena, thus avoiding a possible 12-match ban as the incident was not referred to in the match referee's report.
