Papu Gomez ended it with the football played. The Argentinian fantasy player was suspended for two years due to the use of doping.

The player appealed the suspension decision, but this was also rejected, as something like this was confirmed by Monza's coach, Palladino.

Papu Gomez was sentenced for the use of banned substances, after tests in a training session in 2022, when he was part of Sevilla, before the start of the World Cup. In the autumn of last year, Gomez was transferred to Monza, but did not play a single game, after his suspension was confirmed for two years.

The Monza club is expected to issue an official statement, where it will confirm the suspension of Papu Gomez and at the same time the termination of the contract with him.

With the suspension in effect, the 36-year-old Argentinian fantasist is expected to end football once and for all, as age does not promise another return to the field, at least not at high levels.
