The defender of the national team, Elseid Hysaj, spoke at a press conference after the gathering of the red and blacks for the matches against Serbia and Latvia. 

"This is an important match because they are a direct opponent to our team. We footballers should not interfere in the relations in our countries, there is someone who deals with this work. We have to play our game, be focused, calm, we know that we are a direct opponent, and not think about problems the other way around.

All the players are focused, we know that this is a very important match, both for us and outside of football, there are many fans who are eagerly awaiting this match. It is normal that I have spoken to some players about our connections that we have had, and also about the past matches that we have played together. Everyone knows the history of Albania. I simply said to be as calm as possible and to play the best match on the field.

It's a lot of pressure, but this pressure will be valuable to go down the field strong and with courage. It's a special match, but football, we have to go down the field calmly and do our best to get 3 points.

Everyone has seen the match we played there. It is not a beautiful image for football. It should not happen like it did at that time. It is a very important match, we play for the state, the nation, if we win it could be a great pride for us. We must be calm, to understand, we must think that we are footballers, to please the fans and to win.

I am fine, I came back from an injury I had. Now I feel very good. Everyone is fine, it is the end of the championship, maybe we may be tired, but I don't think so, I have seen the guys in training, all focused. It is a special match, which we must play with heart and soul, the fans may be passionate, but let's be calm.

The coach does his job, he always keeps us in the mindset to be as calm as possible, not to take this match with pressure. We are grown up to understand the importance of the match. We know that Serbia has strong players, we have played against them in Serie A and abroad. And they know about us, that we can fight and win that match.

"All the group matches are important, but this is a direct match for us. We know that England is very strong, that if they win or draw it would be a miracle, but against Serbia we can play our cards very well and have a chance to win the match," said Hysaj.
