Granit Xhaka ends with Arsenal, ready to return to the Bundesliga

Granit Xhaka and Arsenal, towards 'divorce' at the end of the season. After a series of discussions, it seems that the midfielder has decided that the future will continue in Germany. For some time, the future of the 30-year-old was in great doubt, however, a recent report by the market expert, Fabrizio Romano, has "shed light" on this event and has confirmed that the parties will not continue the cooperation.

Bayer Leverkusen benefited from this situation, with the German club in advanced talks with Xhaka. The "Aspirins" who are now led by Xabi Alonso, are desperately looking for an experienced player in the midfield and it is said that the parties are hovering around the figure of 15 million euros. Personal details are not a problem at all for Granit Xhaka and the Kosovar midfielder who represents Switzerland will be dedicated to Leverkusen until 2027, i.e. in a 4-year contract.

However, the only condition that Xhaka has set was about the firm. The 30-year-old will only sign after the end of the season, as he is currently fully focused on the remaining Premier League games. Granit Xhaka has been part of Arsenal since 2016 when he was transferred from Borussia Monchengladbach and has played 295 games, scoring 21 goals and providing 29 assists.
