Neuer is fined, Bayern does not forgive the captain

Manuel Neuer has been in the spotlight in recent weeks for his rift with Bayern Munich. As if the statements to the managers were not enough, the goalkeeper of the German National Team has received a hefty fine due to the injury suffered after the World Cup.

The 36-year-old injured his knee skiing in early December, missing the rest of the season. According to what the contract provides, the player is expected to be fined a monthly salary.

The seasonal salary of the Bayern captain is 20 million euros, which means that 1.6 million euros is the penalty due to the injury. The long absence of the goalkeeper forced the leaders of the German champions to enter the market to sign Yann Sommer.

The Swiss became part of the Bavarians from January and immediately took the place of the starter. Neuer lashed out at management following the departure of goalkeeper coach Toni Tapalovic, one of his best friends.
