Football in mourning/ Fell unconscious on the field, the 27-year-old player died

Uruguayan footballer Juan Izquierdo has passed away. The 27-year-old footballer of Nacional died after five days in the hospital. 

The central defender of the team from Montevideo fell unconscious on the field of play during the match against Sao Paulo for the 1/16 of the Copa Libertadores. He received first aid from the staff of the respective teams and was urgently transported to the hospital, where he died.

Uruguayan football is in mourning as the team and numerous sports figures from around the world have expressed their condolences to the National club and the families of the deceased.
