Victory over Chelsea changed his career, Premier League club appoints new manager

Southampton is going through a difficult period in the English elite, the Premier League with the team suffering poor results. The "Saints" are currently in the last place of the classification, while in order to "shake" the team, the leaders thought to fire the coach Nathan Jones.

Recently, they appointed the new "helmsman" of the team, as it is Ruben Selles. A person who knows the environment well, since the Spaniard has been part of Southampton's technical staff since 2022.

The 39-year-old led the team in the last game against Chelsea, even winning, and this pushed the leaders of "Saints" even more to trust Selles. For the Spanish coach, this will be the first real experience in charge of a team, given that he previously only coached Valencia's youth team and was an assistant at Southampton.
