Nuk kishte si të ndodhte ndryshe, pritej një reagim nga FIFA. Qeveria ë futbollit botëror ka sanksionuar Federatën Serbe të Futbollit. Kjo pasi tifozët serbë kanë fyer dhe ofenduar me thirrje raciste futbollistët me origjinë shqiptare Granit Xhaka dhe Xherdan Shaqiri në ndeshjen ndaj Zvicrës në Botërorin “Katar 2022”.

“Komiteti Disiplinor i FIFA-s ka dënuar financiarisht Federatën e Serbe të Futbollit me gjobë prej 50 mijë franga zvicerane dhe një mbyllje të pjesshme të stadiumit (prej 25 për qind), në ndeshjen zyrtare të radhës të kombëtares serbe.

Dënimi është për shkelje të neneve 13 (diskriminimi) dhe 12 (sjellja e pahijshme e lojtarëve dhe zyrtarëve) të Kodit Disiplinor të FIFA”,- shkruan FIFA, në vendimin e saj.
