The star of the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, has predicted who, according to him, are the favorites to win the "Golden Ball 2024".

Through a video published on his "Youtube" channel, where he appears talking to Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo has chosen four names that, according to him, should win this trophy.

He mentioned Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, both Real Madrid players, as well as Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, before Ferdinand suggested the name of Vinicius Junior as well.

This year seems to be the toughest competition for the "Golden Ball" we have seen in recent years, as Rodri and Dani Carvajal are seen as contenders as well, as they were the two stars of Spain in the triumph of EURO 2024.

The legend of Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo is the second most decorated player in football with five "Golden Balls" won, after Lionel Messi who has won this trophy eight times.

Ronaldo and Messi were left out of the list of potential candidates to win this award for the first time since 2003./ CNA
