Bad news for Guardiola, the Dutch defender is seriously injured

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake suffered a serious muscle injury in the Netherlands' match against Germany in the Nations League on Tuesday night.

At the end of the first half, the defender was forced to leave the playing field, as he was unable to continue. Ake struggled to his feet but was carried off the pitch on a stretcher, appearing to be in a lot of pain.

Three minutes after Ake left the game, the Netherlands conceded a second goal, with the challenge ending in a 2-2 draw.

City's medical staff will soon assess the injury to determine the extent of the damage Ake has suffered.

The Dutchman is a doubt for Manchester City's upcoming Premier League game against Brentford this weekend./ CNA
