Armand Duka reveals: This is why Silvinjo wants the list with 23 players and not with 26 in the European

The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, in an interview for "RTK", revealed the reason why Silvinjo supports the scheme with 23 players to gather them in Germany and not the one with 26.

According to him, the group with 23 players is easier to manage and sending the players to the stand spoils the atmosphere in the team.

"It is true that a meeting was held between the coaches who will be part of the European Championship and there were proposals to increase the number of players called up to 26 players. It was technically discussed, Silvinjo was not at this meeting, but he wants to this scheme should remain with 23 players. He is not the only one who thinks this, they are divided between those who want the scheme with 23 and those who want it with 26. They are divided and have their arguments for and against.

All these thoughts will come up for discussion at the Executive Committee meeting on 22 May in Dublin. If I will be allowed to give my opinion, I will certainly support the opinion of the coach of Albania in that meeting. Silvinho's arguments are that the group can be managed better, get more results with 23 players. So you won't remove players to leave them in the stands and they could spoil the atmosphere of the team, but they will all be active on the bench and on the field. But also in terms of management, since all training programs are done with 22 footballers and 1 goalkeeper who can be left out of the field", said Duka.
